Feng Shui

"Humanity is schooled by the Earth; Earth is taught by Heaven and Heaven is guided by the Tao. And the Tao goes with what is absolutely natural."

-- Tao Te Ching

Feng Shui literally means "Wind and Water" or as it was called originally, Kan Yu which means "the way of Heaven and Earth". It is a Chinese art and science dating back thousands of years, practiced by the Chinese people to improve their way of life.

The most authentic practice is the Time and Space (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui, which is the study of the cyclic flux of nature and its interchangeable energies -called Chi- between man and environment.

Feng Shui seeks to harmonize the tangible and intangible energies in our life to help achieve better health, relationships and prosperity.

What is Chi?

Chi is defined wrongly as energy; in fact energy is only part of chi.

Chi is the underlying essence of all things, the unifying force in life, more correctly called life force.

What Feng Shui is not?

Feng Shui is not a religion, not a superstitious or any kind of belief system, and not a mystical, intuitive interior decoration with oriental touches.

Feng Shui which is practiced without measuring the orientation of a building with a compass, without examining the environment and without employing the time factor is not Feng Shui!

Does Feng Shui have any scientific base?

Feng Shui is metaphysical. By our scientific standards it cannot be measured yet, although the fundamental theories of Feng Shui can be linked, among others, to quantum physics, Einstein's relativity and the phenomenon we know as the Butterfly Effect.

What does a Feng Shui consultant do?

A classical Feng Shui consultant has many years of formal training in traditional Chinese Feng Shui and related studies in the Taoist Arts.

He/she has a clear understanding of the Yin-Yang Theory, the Five Element Theory and the I Ching. The professional consultant is familiar with the use of the Luo Pan, the Chinese compass, and in depth knowledge of the application of the Eight Trigrams, the mathematical symbols of Feng Shui.

The Feng Shui consultant understands and successfully applies the fundamental principles of this art and science to help people improve their lives and establish harmony between themselves and their environment.

Who can benefit from Feng Shui?

Any individual or business that seeks to improve their way of living or their business practice. Some of the many benefits of Feng Shui include:

Chinese Astrology

"No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an unchartered land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit."

-- Helen Keller

What is Chinese Astrology?

Most people familiar with the Chinese Zodiac, which is determined by the individual's birth year, and gives a brief and interesting explanation of the person's character. However the animal sings are a simplified version of the rich legacy of Chinese astrology. This ancient art and science developed over thousands of years into two complex systems, the Four Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zi) and the Purple Star ( Zi Wei Dou Shu).

The moment when we come to the world, with our first breath we are exposed to the prevailing chi, the dominating universal forces, which set the dynamic pattern of our destiny.

According to the Chinese belief our fate is not inevitable, our actions can alter our destiny. Where we are coming from and where we are going is determined by the interactions of Heaven Chi, Earth Chi and Man Chi. Chinese astrology help us to understand those forces and their patterns, so we'll be able to choose - use our free will - which path we will walk in our journey of life.

The calculation of the Four Pillars chart is based on a person's date, time and place of birth. The interpretation of the Four Pillars chart clearly indicates the opportunities and possibilities in the person's career, relationships, romance, health and wealth and also the right timing for proper action.

"The beauty of the Four Pillars theory is that it does not even have a mysterious and superstitious outlook. Everything can be explained by logic." - says Master Joseph Yu, the world renowned expert and authority in the Chinese Arts.

The Zi Wei Dou Shu is the other traditional system of Chinese fate calculation, based on the Pole Star and the constellations, which relates to it.

I Ching

"Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you."

-- Bible

What is the I Ching?

If we accept the idea that we are a part of the Universe, then we should accept the idea that we as part can communicate with the whole.

The I Ching is the most ancient book, a complex system of divination, which has been in continuous use over thousands of years to communicate with the Universe. It was assembled by King Wen and his son the Duke of Zhou in the eleventh century B.C. in China.

The I Ching or The Book of Changes uses the historical events of the declining Shang dynasty and the rising of the Zhou dynasty to revel every human situation, to explain the cyclic changes of life through the arrangement of 64 hexagrams.

When we are in a dilemma or at a crossroad the I Ching wisdom provides us a fresh perspective, a clear guidance to help to make beneficial decisions, to choose the right action and the right time in the course of our career, relationships, health or in any other area of our life.

The most popular and widely known technique to consult the I Ching is the philosophical interpretation, which gives a historical image to our question. The weakness of this technique is the possibility for subjectivity. Also known the Wen Wang Gua method which in its interpretation uses the Yin-Yang theory, the concept of the Five Elements, the 10 Heavenly stems and 12 Earthly branches. This is the technique what the professional diviners have used in China for centuries, offering amazingly accurate answers.

Besides the above mentioned techniques, several other methods are known to interpret the I Ching.
